Two Good Things About Our Car Breaking Down on the Freeway

1. We got a new car and we love it!

2. The first place we took it was Spoon It!

We surprised ourselves by getting a bigger car when we had been looking at smaller cars most of the time. Scott happened to see this 2002 Acura MDX that was in our price range, and after test driving this Acura and the other two cars we were deciding between, we couldn't pass this one up. We loved it, and we also thought we got a great deal on it. This car was a one-owner car and he took great care of it.

I love the leather seats, how nice and smooth it drives, and how roomy it feels. Boston likes it too. He called it "the big car" the first few times he rode in it. I also love that there are two extra seats we can fold up in the trunk to make a total of seven seats! When we don't need the two extra seats, I love how big the trunk is because it fits our huge jogging stroller really nicely. And someday when we have a double jogger, it will even fit that nicely. That's a pretty big plus to me. Another plus is the LCD screen that tells me what direction I'm going. If you know me, then you know that might come in handy. :)

We were so happy to find a car so quickly! After riding my bike to Target to get a couple things in the 100 degree weather, I was especially happy we found a car so quickly. Although, Scott was a little disappointed because we were so close to not having any car payments. Oh well, such is life right? We figured we'd buy a smaller car for Scott to drive to work once the Montero dies. Who knows how long that will be. We actually thought the Montero would die before the Camry, so I guess we better be prepared!

Thanks to Scott for finding a good car and making last Tuesday a good night, and then topping it off with Spoon It!

For all the guys, it is a 2002 with 105K miles. If you can't tell in the pics, it is super duper clean. You don't find older cars this clean very often, if ever. Just wish it did a little better with gas mileage, but it's smooth, safe, and is fun to drive.

Yay! Congratulations! We LOVE MDX's and test drove one earlier this year. We ended up not buying a car (but bought a house instead). Haha. I'm glad you guys got that car -- it looks like a great find!!! How exciting!

Hi Andi,

Sorry for contacting you through your comments section but I couldn't find an email address on your blog. We found your blog and thought you would enjoy our new website www.MommyGiggles.com.

Mommy Giggles is a site where moms submit funny pictures to share with other moms to get a giggle out of. They can either be pictures of their kids or of other hilarious “mommy moments”

We are contacting you to see if you have a funny picture that we could post – we would of course give you the credit, and also post your blog (if you want). There is also a $25 Amazon Gift card drawing to everyone who submits a photo each month.

We also would appreciate if you could spread the word about our site to other moms too!

We hope you will get a “giggle” out of our site.

Warmest Regards,

Heather Matthews & Heidi Werry
