We decided to continue the tradition we started with Boston and take a picture of Brody every month next to a stuffed animal for size comparison until his 1st birthday. Boston's monthly pictures were next to the cute Build-A-Bear missionary lion his family gave him before he left on his mission, so we made Brody a missionary Build-A-Bear as well for his monthly pictures, except Brody's is a fox.

These pictures really show how much a baby grows and changes in such a short amount of time!
Here are some things about Brody at 2 months:
-Can usually get him to smile by tapping his nose and saying "beep, beep," or by softly squishing his cute cheeks. He also occasionally smiles if you play patty cake with him, and if you're lucky he'll smile at you just for talking to him. He may develop a signature wink/smile since I have two pictures like that already.
-He rolled from his stomach to his back twice at 7 weeks, but hasn't rolled again since.
-He startles VERY easily. (Sometimes when we pat his back to burp him, each pat will startle him and make his little feet jump! Instead of patting his back, a lot of the time we'll just sit him up and rock him back and forth to burp him. That works well, and it doesn't make him jump.)
-He's a light sleeper, mostly because he startles so easily. The slightest move or touch can wake him up, and noises startle him very easily while he's sleeping.
-He Loves to stare at the picture of the Bountiful Temple on the wall above our couch. Just last night he was staring at it with a huge smile on his face.
-He Grunts A LOT. He almost always grunts around 4:00 or 5:00AM for awhile.
-He has some tummy issues with gas and what not, which is the cause of most of his grunting noises.
-Is a great eater, which is why his cheeks are so kissable and squish able.
-He rarely spits up.
-Does very well holding his head up.
-He can pick his head up and move it side to side while lying on his stomach.
-He loves sleeping on his stomach.
-Only takes a binki occasionally, and gives you a look of disgust if you try to give him his binki
shortly after he's eaten.
-He's chunking up really fast, and Scott and I think it's so funny when his stomach hangs out the bottom of his shirts.
-He's a very content baby. Unless he's hungry, or his stomach is bothering him, he just chills out.
-He's not on a predictable schedule yet, but up until the past two nights he usually ate right before we went to bed between 9:00-11:00PM, again around 2:00AM, and again around 5:00AM. Then he would grunt for awhile and have a hard time falling back to sleep. He usually slipped back into a peaceful sleep first thing in the morning after Boston woke up. The untimely timing of it was actually kind of funny. Scott and I would stare at him sleeping so peacefully and quietly as soon as we got out of bed, and then we would just smile and laugh. His cuteness literally makes up for all sleep lost. He seems to be going longer without eating now during the night and sleeping better, so we'll see if he keeps it up.
A couple new places Brody has been are Sea World, date night with Scott and I, library time, and preschool co-op.
I'm loving this stage of life right now. Boston seems so grown up and independent, and Brody is a cute, immobile baby. :) It's such a fun stage!

He is the cutest little chunk. That's how my babies were! Wish we could see him again. Can't wait for the summer!
