Annual White Elephant Party and Christmas Eve

We've had a fun white elephant Christmas party with friends the past few years. The people who first hosted it moved, and then the people that hosted it last year moved too, so we hosted it this year to keep it going!

Everyone brought a yummy snack to share, and we did a hot chocolate bar.

We hung out eating and playing a get to know you game for awhile. and then we did the white elephant exchange.

We always get so many laughs during the white elephant exchange. It's so fun to see what people start  fighting over, and some of the gifts are really funny. We are so grateful to have so many fun people in our ward and neighborhood! They made this party so fun!

We had a fun Christmas Eve this year. We took Boston and Brody to the dollar theater to see Alexander and The Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day. It turned out to be really funny. I got some good laughs out of it. Brody did ok in the movie. We fed him a lot of snacks to keep him quiet.

After the movie, we went to our friend's house, the Thelers, for dinner and the Nativity play.

We tried out a new tradition that was really cool. You light a candle for every different name for Christ that you can think of. You're supposed to do it for dinner, and then eat the dinner by the candle lights that you just lit, but we did it for dessert instead since it wasn't dark when we ate dinner.

We weren't in the mood for the traditional holiday type food like ham and potatoes, so we had coconut chicken, quinoa, asparagus, zucchini, yellow squash, and different kinds of breads and rolls. It was really yummy!

After dinner and dessert, we did a little nativity play with the kids.

Then we went home to do our own little family thing before bedtime.

We all opened some new pjs, and read The Night Before Christmas.

The boys looked cute in their matching camo pants and red shirts.

Brody's first Christmas, awe. :)

Boston made sure to spread his reindeer food on the lawn, and leave some cookies and milk for Santa.

Kids make Christmas so much better!

Couldn't ask for two better presents than these under my tree!

One more just because it was the first time my boys have all matched, and they looked so cute all matching!

After the kids went to bed, Scott and I got to work!

All done, and ready for the magical morning!
