Easter

Trenton's mom, Patricia, invited us to her church's Easter festival the Saturday before Easter.

They had face painting, bouncy houses, and Easter egg hunts for the kids.

It was Brody's first Easter egg hunt, but he was much more interested in picking up leaves, climbing up the slide, and playing on the playground.

The Saturday before Easter, we colored hard boiled Easter eggs. It was mine and Boston's first time doing this! This was not a tradition in my family growing up, but I thought it was really fun! We liked eating the eggs the rest of the week too! I think this will be a new Easter tradition for us.

Easter this year fell on General Conference Sunday! It was nice to stay home and relax all day!

Boston was excited to see that the Easter bunny had left some eggs for him around the house when he woke up.

Here is a picture of Brody showing how much he looks like my dad!

Brody joined in on the fun a little bit and discovered that he really like the jelly beans inside the eggs!

Brody decided to give Boston a high five instead of a jelly bean when Boston reached his hand out for a jelly bean. Ha ha!

Boston also got a pool noodle and a squirt gun from the Easter bunny!

And Brody of course got a ball! A squishy one that's made for the pool!

After relaxing and listening to conference all day, we had a nice Easter dinner with our little family. We had ham, rolls, asparagus, salad, and the hard boiled eggs that we decorated. We also had strawberry shortcake for dessert. Then we went on a family walk around the neighborhood because it was a gorgeous day outside!
