Boston got to experience picking his own peaches right off the tree from a farm in Fredericksburg! He ran around like a little kid on an Easter egg hunt. When he found one he wanted, he would say, "Mom, look at this beauty!"
When we were driving up to the farm we had to stop in the middle of the road because there was a turtle in the road. My friend Patricia and her kids were with me, so she got out and rescued the turtle from the road The kids were all pretty excited about it and hopped out of the car.
Before the kids picked peaches they got some tips and instructions from the farmer.
We also had a picnic when we were done picking our peaches.
The peaches were delicious! We'll have to go back for more next year! We ate them for snacks, put them in oatmeal, and made peach cobbler.
