6 Months!

I better hurry up and post Brody's 6 month pictures before he turns 7 months! After being on vacation for a month, it's been a busy couple weeks since we've been home! We all adore this sweet, happy, smiley baby to death. 

I love how proud Boston is of his baby brother. He likes to show him off. Just today at Target he started talking to the lady behind us while I was paying for our things. I didn't hear the whole conversation, but it usually sounds something like this, "This is my baby brother. His name is Brody. He's 6 months." Then he tries to move the shopping cart so the lady can get a good look at him. Ha ha. I love what a good big brother Boston is. 

The newest thing for Brody since turning 6 months is being able to sit up all by himself. It was like it happened overnight. One day he could suddenly sit up! He still has his fair share of tip overs though. 

He also started playing with toys. His fingers and toes are no longer adequate entertainment. One of his favorite things to play with is an empty wipes bag because of how crinkly it is. 

Brody's a social little guy. He loves to be talked to, and he'll usually give anyone who talks to him a big smile. 

 He's still not quite into solid foods yet. We tried a little avocado again, but he's not a big fan. We also tried some rice cereal. He gagged a little, dry heaved a little, and looked at me like, "Why are you putting that stuff in my mouth?" He even did a few shudders as he tried to swallow the stuff a few times. He never spit it out, he just tried to eat it, but he clearly didn't enjoy it. I'll have to try a different approach with the rice cereal next time. Maybe mix it with something besides water. 

Here's the stats from his check-up. He's starting to thin out a little just like Boston did as he got older. They were both the chunkiest at two months, and then started to slowly thin out, although Brody has always been a lot chubbier than Boston ever was. He has some awesome thigh rolls that are so fun to squeeze. Hopefully he'll keep his chub around a little longer. :)
